Once again the season comes to a close and we reflect on another season of what-might-have-been.

Disappointing springs rapidly to mind as I feel that that the Class of 2002, regressed from their 2001 counterparts in an alarming fashion. Sure lack of experience counts for a lot but I don't genuinely believe that any bastard out there was actually enjoying their rugger.

The forwards were the same from last season (or thereabouts) but didn't have the spark from last year or the usual competitiveness/prowess in the loose. The backs were pretty shit-house.

Historically these seven are our greatest strength with lapses in concentration and skill made up for by scything runs up the midfield. We started with schoolboy who is obviously extremely promising but still inexperienced at this level. Why not start him in the Second XV and bring him on gradually?. Why did we start the season with no recognised first five?, this is not the only time this has happened in recent memory.

Back to the 'Naki game, a game in which we should have won but didn't. We were by far and away the better side in the first half and one more try could have secured certain victory. Sadly we had packed our bags and were half-way down the runway in the second forty and as a result lost a game that was in the bag.

The small Harbour support at the crowd got shit and for once I took it as my legendary patience with Harbour came to a crashing halt.

I'm running out of good things to say about my favourite team and a would desperately like to add some positive balance to the story but I can't find any.

At least we might win the National Sevens....?
