Dear Ed,
Firstly I'd have to say I agree with all the emails recently received by
Harbourrugby.com this is indeed a very crap Harbour side. There can be very
few apologists left (they have either left the province, or in some cases
gone abroad).
However, we must look to the future. Robbie Colhoun needs to be reinstated
at seven. This dynamic player is the greatest flanker to come out of the
'Dale since Kevin James Schuler, although admittedly he lacks his height,
moustache and grizzly looks ("Hoona" is more Charlie Brown to Schuler's
Loosehead Len).
It may appear that his calf muscles are the size of the flaccid hot dogs
served in Albany, but clearly the North Harbour progamme lists him at a
might 101Kg – six more than former AB Schuler.
Speaking of AB, he must be commended as it must be very difficult for
someone who is 2.0 meters tall to remain so invisible on the field. He
should be awarded the captaincy in Williams's absence, so then we can at
least see him on the field, talking to the ref or rallying the troops from
behind the posts, after yet another try has been conceded.
Yours truly,
The Don
