Tribute to the king of North Harbour!

Out of Rotorua there came a star,
the crowds would come from near and from far,
No other player could do what he could,
His name was Buck, Buck Shelford!

The Whettons ,Loey, and Fitzy they all stood tall,
When our Buck ran with the ball.

The Aussies ,The French ,he beat them all,
Yet we never saw that Grant Fox run with the ball.

Whether it was for the mighty Harbour or the Men in Black,
He stood tall, and never looked back.

The crowd would chant and they would sing,
Cos Buck was our god, He was our king.

As a kid I watched him line up,
As our Buck helped lift the World Cup.

Like a tree that stands so tall,
Wayne Buck Shelford,
You are the greatest of them all.

Cheersz
