We Say ...

"It is appropriate at this time to review comments made earlier in the season.

Reassessment and in-depth discussion is warranted by all budding journalists, eager to make their mark and provide fair and constructive comment.

I am the first to admit that I gave Buck stuff all chance in hell of competing with the big boys this season.  I attacked his coaching methods and personal character with the fanatical passion of an Afghan horseman on his way to the local arms emporium.

Time is a funny thing and seven games down the track Buck has steered the usually “headless” Harbour rabble to six wins in a row with some very polished performances under pressure.  I now wish to apologise to Buck and his staff, so far it is a job extremely well done.

My legitimate concerns at the start of this campaign have been largely answered with key personnel taking responsibility for their positions and the team as a whole sticking to a well thought out game plan.

The maturity of both the players and the obvious influence of the management/coaching personnel have been pleasingly evident to all Harbour fans.

At this point a home semi looks increasingly likely, a position I would have gleefully accepted if offered to me eight weeks ago.

Well done to all concerned, the real acid test is just around the corner, but current form suggests that Harbour are confident contenders for this years NPC final."
