Hamster says well done Harbour

I know it's the start of the season and there is plenty of time for things to go wrong but...

Harbour need to be congratulated for trying a few new initiatives and at least endeavouring to breathe life into the soul-less beast that is our fan-base.

Buses, Hato P singers, reasonable season ticket prices and free access for the kids can only be good for the game in the region.

We have been criticised over the last few years for "unfairly bagging" our Union where in reality Harbour have been their own worst enemy and the standard of rugby has been frankly - poo. Its always hard to look introspectively and Harbour have been in denial for sometime.

Win a few games and keep trying new things and I believe that people will come on their own accord. It seems quite interesting that the public have embraced provincial rugby (albeit Round 1) as the All Black and Super 14 brands struggle for genuine support and enthusiasm.

If we can "ride this wave of provincial pride", perhaps Harbour can have a great season in the lead-up to our 25th anniversary.

Just before I go, how good is it to see the Scum getting whipped by anyone. That Hawke's Bay game was hilarious and I soaked the fur around my tiny nether-regions try after try after try.
